BACKGROUND

Our earth is falling apart. It’s dying, torn and shattered apart by us humans, whose means is to protect, not to destroy. This Collection is born from miseries and terror as we bear witness of the destruction of the earth. This is our war cry, our call to arms for everyone to take actions together, to fight for our planet, for our own MOTHER EARTH.

Together we stand a chance. Together we can take a stand to protect our planet and everything within it. Our MOTHER EARTH is worth fighting for.

BEHIND THE DESIGN: Global warming has already had real effect on our environment and daily lives. Melting glaciers, early snowmelt, severe droughts, raising sea levels, extreme weather conditions, are just a few from all of the disaster our own way of living has brought us. Scientists see indisputable evidence that our Earth has been getting warmer every year, and it will get worse if we don’t stop damaging our planet. Scientist have also documented record-high average annual surface temperatures and have been observing other signs of change all over the planet. The melting earth graphic on the back is a hyperbolic depiction of what our MOTHER EARTH has become, a giant melting mess that needs to be saved. If we don’t act now, this hyperbolic design might just be a realistic one.

BEHIND THE DESIGN: Rafflesia arnoldii, native to the rainforests of Sumatra and Borneo and Moon Orchid ( Phalaenopsis ) , two of the three national flowers of Indonesia, also the two of the most endangered floral species in Indonesia. The design depicting human hands and flowers carry one explicit message : for us humans to take more care about our earth and every living things around us, may it be flowers, animals, and other human beings. Take our hands to join the movement, and make our MOTHER EARTH a better place.
